10. Annapurna I Base Camp Trek (Nepal)

Colorful prayer flags and a sign welcome visitors to Annapurna Base Camp with snowy mountains in the background.

Trek Overview

Annapurna I, the world’s tenth‑highest mountain, anchors one of Nepal’s most popular trekking routes. The trail leads into the Annapurna Sanctuary, a natural amphitheater of towering peaks, culminating at Annapurna Base Camp with panoramic views of the Annapurna group of summits and Machapuchare (Fishtail). The route passes from subtropical forests and terraced farmlands to alpine landscapes, and is supported by well‑developed trails and comfortable teahouses—making it accessible to trekkers of varying experience levels while still offering a rewarding high‑altitude adventure.
